Uplixo.pro Portfolio

A curated gallery of game-app concepts, forged in the space between Turkish folklore and mobile hardware constraints.

This is not a client showcase. It's a design archive—evidence of a methodology that treats every project as a technical prototype. Each concept below solves a specific player friction, optimized for real-world conditions: unstable networks, battery anxiety, and thumb-driven UI.

The Arcade of Tomorrow

A scan of core mechanics under active development.

Strategy Puzzle Narrative Simulation
Anatolian Puzzle concept

Anatolian Puzzle

A spatial puzzle game where each level's geometry is derived from an actual Turkish kilim pattern. The challenge is recognizing symmetry and mirror logic, not trial-and-error.

Concept Note

Core mechanic: Translate 2D textile patterns into 3D navigable spaces. Solved local storage for large texture assets by using procedural generation.

Istanbul Rhythm concept

Istanbul Rhythm

A tap-along game to the sounds of a bazaar. Plays on GPS data to sync beat maps with real-world locations.

Constraint: 60fps on mid-tier devices
Networked Nomad concept

Networked Nomad

A city-building sim where resources are shared peer-to-peer. No central server; the city exists only when players are connected.

Challenge: Offline states
The Silent Mountain concept

The Silent Mountain

A text-based narrative that progresses only when the device is held perfectly still. A meditation on patience and attention.

Limitation: Requires calibration
Courier Chess concept

Courier Chess

Asynchronous turn-based strategy. Moves are relayed via notification system, designed for daily micro-play sessions.

Focus: Retention via pacing
"We don't design for the ideal device. We design for the average device in a crowded café in Beyoğlu. If the game stutters there, we've failed." — Lead Developer, Uplixo.pro

The Uplixo Decision Lens

Battery vs. Depth

Optimizes for all-day play sessions. Sacrifices complex real-time lighting.

Clarity vs. Discovery

Optimizes for intuitive, immediate gameplay. Sacrifices obscure easter eggs.

Local vs. Cloud

Optimizes for offline continuity. Sacrifices seamless cross-device sync.

Pitfalls Rail: Common Mistakes

Designing for "Retina" first.

This leads to bloated assets that kill performance on the majority of Android devices. We build at a baseline resolution, then scale up only where critical.

Ignoring the "Back" button.

On Android, erratic or non-standard back behavior is a top-3 cause of app deletion. We audit this for every screen state.

Over-engineering the settings menu.

Most players never touch it. We hide advanced options behind a "Hold to Unlock" gesture to keep the default UI pristine.

Terminology (Opinionated)

Vertical Slice
Not a demo. It's a shippable, 3-minute experience that proves the core loop. If it isn't fun for 180 seconds, the full game won't be.
Playtest Build
A build with debug UI and analytics, not for public release. It's for watching players, not getting star ratings.
Battery Impact Score
An internal metric: (Max sustained screen-on time / 100) * 0.5. We target >3.5 hours of continuous gameplay.

From The Playtest Logs

"The feedback loop was instantaneous. The moment a player hesitated, we saw it in the heat map."
"We simplified the control scheme based on one observation: players used two thumbs on a one-thumb game."

Deep Dive

The Turkish Edge: Cultural Context as a Feature

Bazaar Sync

An audio-driven puzzle game where players reassemble the cacophony of the Grand Bazaar. The challenge isn't finding items, but isolating sound sources—each vendor's call is a unique auditory signature.

Design Philosophy (Pull-Quote)

"We didn't 'localize' a global game. We built a game native to Istanbul's soundscape, then translated the mechanics for a global audience."

Line game concept

Line

An experimental narrative about connection. The only interaction is to trace a line from one moving point to another. The story unfolds in the spaces between, told through the physics of the line itself—tension, slack, and rupture.

Collaborator Spotlight

"The constraint was liberating. With only one gesture, every pixel matters." — Aegean Sound Works

This Portfolio is a Baseline.

The work above represents our core technical and creative pillars. Every new project begins by mapping against this foundation—our "Starting Conditions." We are currently exploring how these principles translate to new surfaces: AR interfaces for narrative, tactile haptics for strategy, and peer-to-peer architectures that turn players into nodes.

Open for Collaboration: Experimental Narrative Titles

We are selectively partnering with writers and directors to prototype the next generation of playable stories. If you have a concept that tests the boundaries of interaction and narrative, let's talk.
